Solutions by Oridian

The work may cross disciplines. The accountability should not.

Oridian organizes the work it delivers into five solution families. Each family has a defined scope. When an objective crosses more than one, the engagement is composed around the outcome, the people and the operating reality — without asking the client to coordinate disconnected providers.

How the work is organized

One requirement. Three layers of definition.

A family establishes where the work is anchored. Capabilities define what must be done. The engagement determines how those capabilities are delivered, governed and supported for the client.

  1. Capability

A specific component of that work: translation, contract review, workflow automation, catalogue management or another clearly defined activity.

  2. Family

A defined body of professional, operational or technical work that Oridian is prepared to organize and deliver.

  3. Engagement

The agreed combination of scope, people, responsibilities, systems, evidence, service conditions and expected outcomes.

Technology & Automation

Design technology around the operation — not the operation around the software.

Where this ends and Technology & Automation begins

Digital Commerce owns the commercial journey and the customer-facing revenue operation. Technology & Automation owns the custom systems, integrations and automation that may support it. One implementation can involve both; they are not equivalent.

Which systems a commerce engagement runs on

Commerce engagements may use Oridian products, client-owned systems or purpose-built technology depending on the operating requirement.

Common ground

What every family shares

Whatever the family, the shape of the engagement is the same.

  • One engagement

Capabilities are brought together under one engagement. Where a regulated activity requires an authorised professional or a named partner, that is stated — the accountability for the engagement stays with Oridian.

  • Supported by Oridian technology

When technology is part of an engagement, Oridian can draw on products and infrastructure it develops in-house, so process and software decisions can be handled in one operating conversation.

  • One engagement model

Understand, design, deliver, improve — the same four stages, with the same decision points.

  • One point of contact

A requirement is routed to the people who do it.

When the work crosses

Some work has a natural home. Complex work has a path.

Select a situation to see which family leads it and which others take part. One family is accountable for the engagement in every case — the composition is Oridian's problem, not the client's.

Delivery and responsibility models

Five distinct engagement structures, not five degrees of the same one.

One model is not automatically more comprehensive than another. What Oridian carries depends on the scope agreed for the engagement, and each structure states where that responsibility ends.

  1. Project

Oridian delivers a defined scope of work with agreed outputs, responsibilities, timing and a clear completion point.

    Responsibility boundary

Oridian is responsible for the agreed project scope and deliverables. The client retains responsibility for the continuing operation after completion unless support, maintenance or continued delivery is separately included.

    Typical uses may include

    • Translation assignments
    • Legal or document packages
    • Process design
    • Website implementation
    • System integration
    • Custom development
    • Defined administrative work
  2. Recurring service

Oridian delivers an ongoing service under agreed scope, volume, access, quality and response conditions.

    Responsibility boundary

Oridian owns the recurring delivery defined in the engagement. The client retains responsibility for the broader organization, internal decisions and activities outside the agreed service boundary.

    Typical uses may include

    • Translation programmes
    • Remote interpretation coverage
    • Document processing
    • Administrative support
    • Catalogue maintenance
    • Commercial support
    • Recurring reporting
  3. Managed operation

Oridian assumes responsibility for an agreed operational function, including its workflows, people, controls, evidence and reporting.

    Responsibility boundary

Oridian operates the defined function within agreed limits and measures. Strategic decisions, legal authority and responsibilities expressly retained by the client remain outside that boundary.

    Typical uses may include

    • Language-access operations
    • Back-office operations
    • Document-processing operations
    • Order or commercial support
    • Workforce coordination
    • Service queues and case management
  4. Embedded capacity

Dedicated professionals or operational capacity work alongside the client within a defined supervision, coordination and accountability model.

    Responsibility boundary

Embedded capacity does not automatically mean that Oridian owns the complete operation. The engagement must identify who assigns work, who supervises it, who approves decisions and who remains accountable for final outcomes.

    Typical uses may include

    • Dedicated language professionals
    • Administrative personnel
    • Operational support teams
    • Technical specialists
    • Project or workflow coordinators
    • Extended delivery teams
  5. Technology implementation

Oridian configures, integrates or develops technology to support a defined operating requirement. It is a distinct technology engagement, not the highest level of responsibility.

    Responsibility boundary

The engagement must separately define responsibility for discovery, development, implementation, data, infrastructure, security, adoption, maintenance and post-launch support.

    Typical uses may include

    • Existing client systems
    • Oridian products
    • Third-party platforms
    • Integrations
    • Automation
    • Purpose-built software
Quality, control and evidence

The standard follows the work from first instruction to final evidence.

Every Oridian engagement defines what must be delivered, who is responsible, how the work will be reviewed and what evidence must remain. Controls are adjusted to the risk, intended use, jurisdiction and responsibility Oridian is expected to carry.

When an instruction may produce an inadequate or non-compliant result, Oridian raises the risk, proposes a responsible path and may decline work that conflicts with legal, professional or ethical requirements.

Technology in the work

Technology supports the engagement. It does not replace the service definition.

Where the systems behind an engagement come from depends on the case, and it is decided as part of the work rather than assumed at the start.

  • Client-owned systems

Oridian can deliver work within the systems a client already uses when those systems can support the agreed operating model, access requirements and delivery controls.

  • Oridian operational infrastructure

Oridian may use its own internal platforms to coordinate, control and evidence service delivery without turning the engagement into a software purchase by the client.

  • Oridian products

An organization may separately adopt an Oridian product when a repeatable platform fits its own operating requirement; product licensing and full platform information belong in Products.

  • Purpose-built technology

Oridian may design or develop technology for a specific requirement when existing systems and available products do not adequately support the required operation.

Questions

Before you choose a family

  • What if the work spans several families?

Most engagements do. The families describe capabilities, not silos — one team is accountable for the whole requirement.

  • Does Oridian build its own software?

Yes. Oridian develops and owns a growing portfolio of product suites. Transara is the business-operations suite in use, while Vessora is Oridian’s upcoming digital experience and commerce suite.

  • How does a family relate to an industry?

A family is what is delivered; an industry is where. Sector pages carry the regulatory and operational detail that changes how a family is applied.

Next step

You do not need to choose the family before the conversation.

Describe the work and the situation around it. Where it should be anchored, and who needs to be involved, is part of what the first conversation settles.
